About Grenada

Spice is a way of life in Grenada. One of the most southerly-and some say the most beautiful-of the Caribbean chain, it produces a quarter of the world's supply of nutmeg, as well as cinnamon, cloves, bay leaves, saffron and mace. Even the breeze is heady with their fragrance.

The tri-island nation with its mainland Grenada, includes tiny Grenadine islands of which Carriacou, Petit-Martinique and several islets to explore.

The vibrant lifestyle of Grenada's inhabitants matches the luxuriance of the island's natural assets. Dense carpets of tropical rainforest drape the volcanic mountains in a tangle of coconut palms, lianas and flowering shrubs. Waterfalls cascade down the hillsides to groves of nutmeg nestling in the valleys.  At most Grenada hotels, and in particular at Coyaba Beach Resort guests can discover this described vibrant charm.

From the UK: British Airways, Virgin Atlantic Airways and Monarch Airlines offers weekly direct flights from London's Gatwick Airport.

From the USA: American Airlines direct flights from Miami and connections via San Juan, Puerto Rico with American Eagle. Delta Airlines operators weekly non-stop service from New York's John F Kennedy Airport.

From Canada: Air Canada operates a weekly service from Toronto during the winter season (December to April) with easy connections from Halifax, Montreal and Ottawa. Year round, Air Canada and Caribbean Airlines operate regularly scheduled flights from Toronto and Montreal to Barbados and Trinidad respectively, with connections into Grenada via LIAT.

From the Caribbean: LIAT Airlines provides connections into Grenada's Maurice Bishop International Airport from many Caribbean islands along with connections to International flights from Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia and Trinidad.
